Announcing My Retirement

After careful consideration and with mixed emotions, I have decided to retire from Moller Wealth Partners, effective July 31, 2024.

Starting this business with my father 33 years ago has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. For half of my life, this firm has been more than just a career—it has been like a child to me. Together, we have built something truly special, and your trust and support have been instrumental in that journey.

We’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings in an office above a Chinese restaurant, where the smell of egg rolls often wafted up to our makeshift workspace. Our "plush" office furniture consisted of a card table, folding chairs, and an original Macintosh computer. I still chuckle at the memory of having to change our company name from Jack Moller & Associates, Inc. because Caller ID would display "Moller, Jack Ass”. And there were the times when my hard-of-hearing father would answer the company phone while I was out and leave me messages that "the whisperer” called. Perhaps, it wasn’t the most professional beginning.

As I step away, I feel a blend of emotions. There is a sense of bittersweetness as I leave behind a significant part of my life, but also excitement for the next phase. Most importantly, I feel profound gratitude for the confidence you have placed in me and Moller Wealth Partners, as well as for the friendship we have developed over the years.

It has been a true gift and honor to share in the many ups and downs of your lives, as well as the market and economic highs and lows over these last three-plus decades. Together, we have navigated significant events such as the dot-com bubble, the financial crisis of 2008, and the more recent market fluctuations brought on by the global pandemic. Through it all, we stayed the course and focused on your long-term financial goals.

Our team has been nothing short of extraordinary. Nate, Brian, Faith, Nancy, Roshne, and Pat have demonstrated unwavering dedication, integrity, and care in managing each client's financial future. Nate, Faith, and Brian have been co-owners of Moller Wealth Partners for many years, with ownership transitions happening gradually over the past decade. Their commitment and hard work have been a cornerstone of our success, and I am confident that they will continue to provide the excellent service you have come to expect. In fact, Susan and I look forward to a worry-free retirement, knowing that our financial planning is in the capable hands of the Moller Wealth Partners team.

Over the past few years, my role has gradually transitioned from full-time to part-time, and at this point, my departure will be relatively seamless. Some of you might have even thought I was already retired! I want to assure you that nothing will change with our firm's philosophy or the high level of service you are accustomed to receiving.

Susan and I have recently relocated to Florida, which, truth be told, is something I never envisioned for myself. Yet, we are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to travel, learn pickleball, and, of course, begin our adventures in joint replacement.

Thank you once again for your trust and support over the years. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve you. I wish you continued success and prosperity in the future.
